Game over? One more go

MEGA GAME TIME (under Games) has 36 retro games, in the real DOS font, with their own 8 bit tunes. Everyone in the family has their own scores.

What's there

Tetris, Pac-Man, Snake, Wordle NL, 2048, Space Invaders, Asteroids, Galaga, Pong and Pong for two, Breakout, Frogger, Boulder Dash, Digger, Sokoban, Minesweeper, Memory, Simon Says, Mastermind, Solitaire, Sudoku, Lights Out, Lunar Lander, Missile Command, Flappy, Doodle Jump, Dino Runner, Xonix, Nibbles, Bubble shooter, Scorched Earth, Tron, Bomberman, Connect Four, Dots and Boxes and tic tac toe.

The littlest ones have a corner of their own.

How to play

1. Pick a game in the lobby. On the start menu you pick your figure with ← and →; with two players you both pick.
2. Esc pauses. Space plays on.
3. Backspace saves and goes back to the lobby. Come back, and the game is where you left it, on pause.
4. Game over? Space plays again. Level done? Space moves on.

On the right is the scoreboard: the family top 5 and your own best run. The full overview is a tile in the lobby.

A few things you won't expect

• In Dino Runner, Boulder Dash and Sokoban you play as someone from the family, in Frogger as your pet.
• Play against the computer, and it's named after your AI assistant from the house robots.
• You can play Memory with your own photos too.
• Wordle NL adapts: after five right in a row it gets harder.

On your phone

The buttons sit under every game, big enough for a thumb. Nothing scrolls or zooms. The scoreboard has a tab of its own.

What it doesn't do (yet)

• Playing online against other families. Two players share the same keyboard.
• A time limit for playing isn't there.
